Craft Victoria's history
The Crafts Council of Victoria was established in 1970 and grew out of a world wide interest in the crafts. In Australia it was a mixture of the counter culture and high art, as espoused by teachers, environmentalists and a wide range of people.

Over the past 40 years it has shifted from an East meets West scenario to a focus on the individual in society. The Crafts Council of Victoria was one of the founding tenants of the Meat Market Craft Centre, then moved to Gertrude Street, Fitzroy, and is now part of the Flinders Lane craft and design precinct.

Position Vacant
Craft Victoria is currently seeking a part time Business Development Manager to implement New Craft Made in Victoria. This is a project designed to build relationships between skilled artisans and the retail and commercial sectors. Applications must contain a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and a resume that includes the contact details of two referees.

Volunteers
Craft Victoria relies on volunteer assistance in order to function adequately. Volunteers provide assistance with openings, mail-outs, administrative support, and exhibition installation.
