Craft Victoria currently has more than 670 registered members. This pool of talented craft practitioners, based all over Victoria create unique, hand-made products, some of which are profiled through the Craft Victoria retail space COUNTER. Craft Victoria has experienced record sales growth in recent months at COUNTER and believes that significant profits are available in the craft and design sectors. The New Craft Made in Victoria project links retail partners with the Craft Victoria member base to develop products that respond to this increase in the market for locally made and manufactured goods.

In becoming a New Craft Made in Victoria Retail Partner, you will be:
Investing in the creative capital of Melbourne and Victoria
Benefiting from an association with a major cultural institution with a significant member base and reach
Responding to social and environment concerns by investing in local industry
Creating a point of difference in your retail offering to distinguish yourself from competitors

Your product
Please provide a short description, using some key words to describe the craft products that you would like to develop.
ie. A series of commemorative souvenirs for the 150th Anniversary of the Building, inspired by the original architectural drawings. Must be functional item with old world feel, using ink motifs.

 
Your target market
Who are the products designed for? Please provide some basic demographic information on the market or buyers.
ie. Customers of the retail shop attached to the Historical Society. Aged between 40 and 70 years, 60% male 40% female, primarily from regional Victoria and interstate.

 
Retail price point
The New Craft Project works with retail partners to deliver craft products at 60% of the retail price. 10% is kept by Craft Victoria as a wholesaler, with the Maker retaining 50%. Please indicate the RETAIL price range that you would like to develop a product for (the Retail Partner takes 40% of this amount).
 
 
Quantity
All of the products developed for the New Craft project are locally made and manufactured. Quantity discounts may apply to the provision of some items. Please specify the minimum unit no of supply per delivery for a New Craft Product. This figure will become the minimum order amount at any time during the product supply cycle.
 
 
Bulk discount
The Makers submitting expressions of interest will be able to offer a lower unit price with a higher minimum order. Please indicate if you would be interested in receiving a discount on bulk purchase, and the maximum amount you would order at any one time.
 
Your retail situation
The Business Development Manager can assist you in creating a retail or point of sale environment. Where will the product be sold or displayed? Please provide a short description of the point of sale or display environment.
ie. The product will be sold at the front desk of the visitor information centre in the Parks and Wildlife Office.

Next Steps
You will be contacted by the Business Development Manager shortly after submitting this form. The Business Development Manager will work with you on refining your request and preparing a Commercial Brief that will be circulated to Craft Victoria members.
